Sites blocked in China are prominently marked. Unless you live in China, you just don't realise how farcical the effects of Chinese government policies are on something as innocuous as birds.

China
	中国动物学会鸟类学分会 / China Ornithological Society	Tends to focus on academic issues and conferences. English is here.

	Local Bird Watching Societies	It is very encouraging to see so many birdwatching societies springing up in China. They include: China Birdnet (includes English), Birdwatch China, Chengdu, Xiamen, Guangxi, Shenzhen, Zhejiang, Jiangsu1, Jiangsu2, the Southwest, Yunnan, and Xinjiang, plus some I've probably missed. Hong Kong
	Hong Kong Birdwatching Society / 香港鸛鳥會	Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (HKBWS) is the only local civil society aiming at appreciating and conservating Hong Kong birds and natural environment. Established in 1957. Chinese site is here.
