The country icon for Birds of West Malaysia and Singapore at Sibagu is . The icon shows the Malaysian word for 'bird', Burung, in two orthographies. The first () is the Jawi alphabet, a traditional script based on Arabic that is still officially recognised in parts of Malaysia and in Brunei and is used mainly for religious and cultural purposes. The letters are read from right to left, starting with ب, and spell out b-u-r-u-ŋ or b-o-r-o-ŋ. The second form (Burung) is the Rumi alphabet, the Roman alphabet that is in normal use for writing the Malaysian and Indonesian languages.
