- In a behind-the-scenes change, all foreign-language occurrences have been given language tags in the coding. While this supposedly has a number of benefits, one important one is that characters will render correctly for the locale.

- Updated the following families to H&M4 at all countries: Vireonidae, Vangidae, Locustellidae, Acrocephalidae, Pnoepygidae, Phylloscopidae, Scotocercidae, Sylviidae, Zosteropidae, Timaliidae, Pellorneidae, and Leiothrichidae. Along with revisions to naming and taxonomy, most introductions have been thoroughly rewritten and new introductions written for a number of families at West Malaysia and Singapore.
- Family names have been assigned, but many are tentative and unsatisfactory. Unfortunately H&M4 is running well ahead of most authorities.
- Many old names added from (35).
- Various minor fixes, including a few changes to Turkish names at Mongolia.
- Many issues probably remain as it is difficult to catch everything in such large updates.
