Changed Google Site Search to Freefind Site Search. Google Search is (1) hard to set up (too geeky) and (2) misses things that Google hasn't indexed. The two straws that broke the camel's back were the fact that: Google still excludes Thai in its indexing of this site, despite the fact that Thai has been present for over a year; and Google seems to have missed Mongolian (possibly a coding error, but with instructions so impenetrable, who could get to the bottom of it?). I once used Freefind on cjvlang but dropped it because it couldn't handle anything but English. Now it is far improved and much easier to use than Google, so I've brought it back.

Vietnamese birds are now essentially updated to include Malay/Indonesian species names. However, this has been more a labour of haste than of love. Unfortunately, I have no sources that can provide complete and standard lists of Malay and Indonesian names, or accurate and reliable dictionaries to explain the meaning behind every name. The Thai glosses and Malay and Indonesian bird names must therefore remain incomplete and tentative. (With regard to Thai names, there are still a few families where transliterations and glosses have yet to be supplied).
